VIDEO TRANSFER

SD Video Transfer
Our SD video transfer service provides professional grade transfer of all tape formats. Supported tape formats include VHS, Betamax, VHS/C, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV, MicroDV, Betacam, Umatic and many more formats. Our workflow is totally digital and consists of professional grade video decks, video processors and digital recorders. The video can be transferred to DVD, Blu-Ray or Video file.
Each DVD/Blu-Ray is hand created. We do NOT use standalone DVD/Blu-Ray recorders like many other companies, instead we manually transfer and quality check each disk.

HD Video Transfer
Our HD video transfer service provides an excellent solution for digitising your HD content whether that be tape based or file based. We support even more HD tape formats including HDV and DigiBeta and all known file based HD formats. Our high definition service offers similar functionality to our standard definition service except it now caters for the demands on HD. This includes support for HD tape formats and HD file formats. So if you have any HD content either on tape of video file then we can offer a range of services to transfer and convert it into the format of your choice.
We can receive your HD content on HDV tape, Digibeta Tape and/or Memory cards and then provide high quality masters back in Apple ProRes 422HQ or Avid DNxHD format.
Each DVD/Blu-Ray is hand created. We do NOT use standalone DVD/Blu-Ray recorders like many other companies, instead we manually transfer and quality check each disk.

Each transfer project is unique and very bespoke so as a result we would highly recommend that you get in touch with us via Email or Phone and we will be happy to prepare and send a customised quotation for your specific needs.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What format of video tape to you transfer ?
We currently support all major video formats including VHS, VHS/C, Betamax, MiniDV MicroDV, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, HDV, DigiBeta, Betacam SP/SX, Umatic and many many formats. Just give us a call if your tape format is not listed and we will advise you.

What if the tape is damaged ?
If your tape is broken then we do offer a tape splicing service using specialised equipment to ensure that your tape is then safe to play again.  Our splicing service is complimentary when used in conjunction with one of our transfer services. The only exception is a rare format called MicroDV which is so small that tape repairs are NOT practical.

Do you transfer footage from memory cards ?
Yes we support all major formats of memory cards including SD, MiniSD, MMC, MicroSD, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Compact Flash, xD Picture Card and GoPro Systems. Also we can take footage from mobile phones  or camcorders with internal HDDs. All this footage can be transferred to DVD, Blu-Ray or Video File.

How much video can I get on a single DVD Disk ?
We will put a maximum of 120 minutes of footage on each DVD. Once you go above the 120 minute barrier the video needs to be compressed to a level that effects image quality so as a company we will NOT compromise on quality and will span the video onto a second and third DVD as required.

How much video can I get on a single Blu-Ray Disk ?
We will put a maximum of 150 minutes of footage on each Blu-Ray. Once you go above the 150 minute barrier the video needs to be compressed to a level that effects image quality so as a company we will NOT compromise on quality and will span the video onto a second and third Blu-Ray as required.

Do you copy video tapes or DVDs with Copyright and/or copy protection ?
The only time we will duplicate copyrighted material is if the customer provides a letter from the copyright owner stating that they have permission. We will also contact the copyright owner independently for approval prior to any work being started. We take copyright very seriously  and will not deviate from the law, so please don't ask.
